Andrea Denise Luff

On Tuesday, August 27, 2013, Andrea Denise Mulcahy Luff, age 48, of Pittsburgh, PA, formerly of Edgewood, MD passed away at Western Pennsylvania Hospital in Pittsburgh. Born in Brooklyn, NY on March 15, 1965, she was the beloved daughter of Judith Patricia Picota Mulcahy of Joppatowne and the late Dennis Joseph Mulcahy. She was a graduate of Edgewood High School and Maryland Beauty Academy and worked as a cosmetologist in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving husband, David J. Luff, stepsons, Andrew Luff of Boston, MA and William Luff of Amherst, MA. She was treasured by her brother, Lawrence Mulcahy and sister-in-law Gale Knoedler of Manassas, VA; and sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Brian Kucharek of Edgewood. Her nephews, Justin and Connor Marion of Edgewood called her Auntie Sunshine because she exuded warmth in everything she did and wherever she went. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her children Troy and McKenzie Miller.

She loved the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers, was an avid fan of the Opera, nature and was a gourmet cook. Her goodness and compassion were exhibited constantly in everything she did. Having survived cancer three times and losing her children gave her an empathy for others very seldom seen. She loved animals especially her beautiful dog, Georgia.
