Amelia Brooke Balmert

Amelia Brooke (Harris) Balmert, 93, of Bel Air, MD passed away peacefully on December 16, 2024 in Forest Hill, MD.  Born in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of the late Walter A. Harris, SR. and Mary Edwardine (Bowling) Harris.  She graduated from Mt. de Sales Academy in 1949.  Mrs. Balmert was married to Donnell E. Balmert, for 62 years before his passing in 2016.

Mrs. Balmert is survived by her children, Marie (William) Kridenoff of Bel Air, MD, Michael (Donna) Balmert of Cranberry Twp., PA, and Anne (James) Kelly of Berlin, MD; grandchildren Sarah Kridenoff of Geneva, NY, Stacey Kridenoff of Bel Air, MD, Stephen Balmert of Pittsburgh, PA, Lauren (Coleman) Bonner of Chicago, IL, Jonathan Bunker of Delta, PA, Emily Bunker of Red Lion, PA, Josh (Jillian) Kelly of Carroll County, MD, and Bryan (Hema) Kelly of Baltimore County, MD; great grandchildren, Eloise Bonner, Jace, Paxton, and Brevyn Knaub, Rohan Kelly and Journey and Juniper Kelly; and multiple nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her brothers, Water A. Harris, Jr., John F. Harris and A. Brooke Harris and her sisters, Mary Edwardine Harris (infant) and Mary Ann Moy.
