Alvis Stuart Goins

Alvis Stuart Goins, age 85, of Churchville, Maryland was a born-again Christian who went on to be with the Lord on November 27, 2021. Born in Claudville, Virginia, he was the son of Alvis Glen Goins and Lillian Ella (Nunn) Goins, and husband of the late Hazel Goins.

Alvis enjoyed reading his Bible daily, hunting and fishing. He was a successful businessman and owned and operated Sportsman Truck Caps in Joppa, MD.  He had a good sense of humor.  He loved his little dog, Buddy, and will be greatly missed by his family. Alvis was a veteran of the U.S. Army. 

Alvis is survived by his sons, Alvis Stuart Goins Jr. and James Lewis Goins; daughters-in-law, Sandy Goins and Rachel Goins; grandchildren, Nickolas Goins, Justin Goins, Andrew Goins, Megan Goins, Jarrett Goins, Jesse Goins and Joseph Goins; and 10 great-grandchildren.
