Almon ''Al'' A. Farrell

Almon "Al" A. Farrell, 95, of Churchville, MD passed away on December 6, 2015 at the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. Born in Sanford, NC, he was the son of the late Paul Thompson Farrell and Maggie Davis (Perry) Farrell. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served from 1943 to 1946. He retired, after 41 years of service, from Western Electric where he was an Installation Manager for the Maryland District. He was a very active member of Calvary Baptist Church and a past member of the Maryland Golf and Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf and he scored several holes in one.

Mr. Farrell is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lilla "Olie" B. Farrell; daughters, Nancy Farrell Reith and husband, Howard, of Churchville and Phyllis Farrell Martin of Forest Hill; and grandchildren, Eric Williams and Jessica Nixon and husband, Mark, all of Bel Air, and Megan Reith of Churchville. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by 12 siblings.
