Alma Shine Contrino, age 84, of Joppa, MD passed away on April 29, 2016 at her home. Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Behr) Shine. She graduated from Kenwood High School in 1948 and through most of her career was a secretary for the Baltimore County Public Schools. She was a founding member of the Northeastern Maryland Kennel Club (NEMKC), a member of the American Miniature Schnauzer Club and Columbia Terrier Association of Maryland. Her miniature schnauzers were her life as she began showing them in obedience and then bred them for many years.

A celebration of her life will be held on June 4 from 1-4 PM at Abingdon Fire Company, 3306 Abingdon Rd, Abingdon, MD 21009. Dress is casual. All who knew her are welcome.
