Alma "Bea" Cromwell, age 81, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on February 4, 2018 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland, she was the daughter of Albert Carloman Lewis and Hattie Ellie (Kennard) Lewis, and was the wife, for 58 years, of the late William Henry Cromwell Sr. She was a Honor Student and 1955 Graduate of Central Consolidated High School. Alma worked 30 years as a custodian at Harford Community College, and was a longtime member of John Wesley United Methodist Church, where she was part of the financial committee. She enjoyed babysitting the children of many friends and family members. She loved to do crossword puzzles, and was an avid fan of General Hospital, Perry Mason and many crime shows. She enjoyed going to her Senior Diabetic Class and taking bus trips to the casinos. She was known for her great sense of humor.
Mrs. Cromwell is survived by five sons, Charles A. Cromwell, Sr. of Aberdeen, William H. Cromwell, Jr. of Bel Air, Jeffery O. Cromwell of Bel Air, Mark A. Cromwell of Aberdeen, and Damien L. Clark of Ohio; four daughters, Dianne M. Cromwell of Aberdeen, Angela L. Cromwell of Edgewood, Danita G. Cromwell of Edgewood, and Jennifer R. Cromwell-Walker of Atlantic City, NJ; four sisters, Frances Fax, Anne Bishop, Shirley James, and Octavia Giles all of Aberdeen; brother, Albert Lewis, Jr. of Baltimore; 25 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Grace Bishop, brother, Darlington Lewis, sister, Catherine Lewis, and granddaughter, Sherrice Cromwell.
