Allene Salmons

Allene Salmons, age 73, of Joppa, MD, died on May 16, 2009 at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Born in Matewan, WV, she was the daughter of Cordia McCoy Steele of Joppa, MD and the late Ralph Steele. She had worked at Aberdeen Proving Ground in the supply department.

In addition to her mother, Mrs. Salmons is survived by her husband of 57 years, Pearl Salmons Jr. of Joppa, MD; son, Mark Anthony Salmons of Joppa, MD; daughters, Cathy Haddox of Parkville, MD, Connie Salmons of Joppa, MD, Caren Lutter of Pennsylvania, and Pamela Salmons of Joppa, MD; brother, Ronald Steele of Essex, MD; sisters, Iva Gail Sullivan, Selma Jean Ignatowski, and Linda Smith, all of Dundalk, MD; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her brother, Donald Steele.
