ALLEN R. CATRON, age 60, of Bel Air, MD, died on February 20, 2008 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Born in Roanoke, VA, he was the son of the late James Emory and Jesse Hubbard Ash Catron. He worked in construction and enjoyed surveying throughout Harford County. He was known as a one line jokester who enjoyed a good practical joke. A gentleman who was always willing to lend a hand and who had a heart of gold.
Al is survived by his wife of 42 years, Kay London Catron of Bel Air, MD; a son, Eric Catron of Kokomo, IN; a daughter, Dani Deegan of Baltimore, MD; a brother James E. Catron of Bel Air, MD; three sisters, Eunice Butler of Coleport, PA, Annie Lee Wade and Pat Johnson, both of Roanoke, VA; and three grandchildren, Rachel Ann Deegan of Frederick, MD, DeziRae Price and Courtney Nicole Catron, both of Kokomo, IN.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Campbell, John Mars, Jimmy Grim, Tom Stark, Chris McCord, Mark Walker, James Catron Jr., and Dudley Campbell. Honorary pallbearer will be Pete Peddicord.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, "Team Courtney Catron", Indiana Chapter 1261 W. 86th Street, Suite E-3, Indianapolis, IN 46260.
