Aline Dancy Crouse of Whiteford, Maryland passed peacefully from this life into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on March 25, 2020 just shy of her 94th birthday. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Born on April 30, 1926 in Wilkes County, North Carolina, she was the daughter of Dewey Lafayette Dancy and Jessie Ellen Johnson Dancy. The wife of the late Charlie L. Crouse Sr. who passed away on December 19, 1998 just shy of their 60th wedding anniversary.
She had a busy life raising 6 children. While working as a secretary for her husband’s business, C L Excavating Inc., she also worked part time driving a school bus. Other employments included working at Bata Shoe Company; Johnny Makowski Bus Service, Martin’s Cleaners and prior to her retirement in 2010, she worked as a secretary for her sons business, Crouse Construction Co., at his recycling plant. In her spare time she loved to read her bible, do word search, tend to her rose and azalea bushes and embroidering. She was a member of Wheel Road Valley Baptist Church and looked forward to visiting Brightview Assisted Living with her church family to have church services with the residents there every fourth Sunday of the month.
She is survived by her sons, J. Richard Crouse and his wife, Jeanette and Charlie L. Crouse Jr.; daughters, Wanda L. Wagg and Mary Ellen Nelson and her husband, Robert; 12 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, N. Estie Spurlin, Edith Higgins, Mary Jane Dancy; brothers, Odell Dancy and Plato “Bud” Dancy; sons, George Edward Crouse and Jerry Dean Crouse Sr.; granddaughter, Kelly M. Crouse-Santiliz; grandson, George Samuel Crouse; and daughter-in-law, Rosemarie Crouse.
Private graveside services will take place at Bel Air Memorial Gardens conducted by her Pastor, Paul Burns and grandson, Michael Nelson.
Pallbearers are David Bloxom, Paul Burns, Jerry D. Crouse, Jr., Michael Nelson, Robert Nelson and Jerome Pearce.
Honorary Pallbearers are Edward Hoffer, Jake Neel, Jimmy Halsey and Andy Lombardi.
