Alice Rebecca Keller

Alice H. Keller, of Bel Air, Maryland, passed away peacefully with her family by her bedside, at her grandson's family farm in White Hall on August 26, 2024 at the age of 98 years young. Born and raised in Bel Air, she was the beloved daughter of the late Arthur and Rebecca (Hutson) Hanson. 

Alice enjoyed a fulfilling career as an executive secretary at Bata Shoe Company, where she met her beloved husband of 54 years, James D. Keller. Together, they went on to own and operate a local Geico Insurance Agency. Later during her retirement years, she enjoyed traveling and cruising, reading, and spending long weekends at their condo in Ocean City. Being a well loved stickler for tidiness, even up to the last months of her life, you could find her busying herself with polishing this and that in her home while reminding her hubby of his to-do list. If you caught her relaxing, it was often sunning herself on the porch or distractedly hunched over a puzzle with her husband Jim, a pastime that reflected her sharp mind and attention to detail. 

Alice was predeceased by her beloved son, William Vincent Hamby Jr (Linda) and leaves behind her husband, Jim and her stepson James N. Keller and his wife, Shelia. Alice is also survived by her loving grandchildren, William Vincent Hamby III and his wife, Gina; her cherished great-grandchildren Ryan (Grace), Luke (Cecelia), Billy (Naomi), and Josh (Bekah) Hamby, as well as two great-great-granddaughters, Daisy and Violet Hamby. 

Alice also leaves behind step-grandchildren, Jamie Keller and James Keller Jr (Christine) and step-great-grandchildren, Mackenzie and Madilyn Keller. 

A small graveside service will be held at 10:00 am at Harford Memorial Gardens with her oldest grandson, Ryan Hamby officiating a loving tribute and time of Bible reading and prayer in honor of his grandmother.
