Alice G. Butterfield

ALICE G. BUTTERFIELD, age 82, of Jarrettsville, MD, died at her home on September 26, 2003. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Russell Thomas and Elizabeth Pearson Van Blarcom, and the wife of the late Arthur Chewker Butterfield. She had been retired for over 20 years and had worked as a secretary for a college. A resident of Harford County for 10 years, she had lived in Drexel Hill, PA for 6 years, and was formerly from Montgomery County, MD. She enjoyed quilting, traveling, and collecting figurines. She was a graduate of Baton High School in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

Mrs. Butterfield is survived by two sons, David L. Martin of Honaker, VA; William H. Martin, Jr. of Andrews Air Force Base, MD; two daughters, Linda J. Jones of Jarrettsville, MD; Beth A. Craven of Damascus, MD; a step-son, Patrick J. Hagan of Kentfield, CA; 14 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by her first husband, William H. Martin; and her second husband, Robert E. Hagan.
