ALICE CREAGHAN STREETT, of Bel Air, died November 7, 2005 at Brightview Assisted Living, Bel Air. She was 95 years old. Born June 23, 1910, in Catonsville, Maryland. She was the last surviving child of nine born to her parents, John T. and Mary Allen Creaghan. Mrs. Streett’s family moved to Harford County in the Abingdon area at a tender young age and was a lifetime resident of the area. She was the wife of the late Milton E. Streett.
In 1929 she graduated from Seton High School and graduated from St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing in 1932. Until 1980, she practiced Home Care nursing but was especially well known for helping with newborns and their mothers. Mrs. Streett took great pride in her career. She was very suited as a nurse and had a great outgoing, caring personality. After her husband’s death, she began painting. She was a fun loving, energetic, kind person to be around who enjoyed life in plain and simple ways. She liked playing cards, scrabble, and writing poetry. She was active in many Brightview happenings. She was a member of the Elderlighters Choral Group of Brightview Assisted Living. She loved her church and praying for others.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a favorite charity in Mrs. Streett’s memory.
