Alice Cornes

ALICE CORNES, age 91, of Forest Hill, MD, died at Stella Maris Hospice, Timonium, MD, on March 11, 2008. Born in Alma, VA, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Lacey and Bessie Brooke Fisher Silling. She loved to crochet, was an avid gardener, liked working with people, and enjoyed fishing. She had worked at Lana Lobels, Walkers, and Richlin Ballroom.

Ms. Cornes is survived by a daughter, Pauline Bell of Forest Hill, MD; two grandchildren, W. Todd Sunderland of Fallston, MD and W. Troy Sunderland of Darlington, MD; and two great grandchildren, Matthew Sunderland of Fallston, MD and Robin Sunderland of Darlington, MD. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Judith Richwine; four brothers, George Silling, Paul Silling, Grayson Silling, and Russell Silling; and a sister, Audrey Harmeyer.
