Alfred "Ted" Grady Marshall, age 74, of Bel Air, MD, passed away on April 1, 2013 at his home. Born in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Mark Michael and Elsie Alma Minchau Marshall and husband, for 48 years, of the late Sonja Fitzell Marshall. A 1962 graduate of the University of Maryland he was a four year letterman and played basketball for the Terrapins from 1958 to 1962. He taught elementary and middle school for 35 years and during that time was at Chapel Hill Elementary School and both Perry Hall and Fallston Middle Schools. For 15 years, he was the basketball coach at both Havre de Grace and Fallston High Schools. He also worked for the Harford County Sheriff's Office for 15 years in the booth at the main office in Bel Air. He enjoyed spending time with his family, as well as, old cars and music.
Mr. Marshall is survived by his son, Grady M. Marshall and wife, Ariana T., of Arlington, VA; daughters, Kellie C. Budnick and husband, Dale A., of Aberdeen, Molly C. Dempsey and husband, Michael P., of Bel Air; and four grandchildren, Meghan D. Leard, Jack M. Dempsey, Colin P. Dempsey and Annabelle C. Marshall. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brother, James M. Marshall.
