Alfred E. Bittner, age 91, of Bel Air, Maryland passed away on April 19, 2020 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, Maryland. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of Richard and Madelyn (Meyd) Bittner. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served our country in the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate of Calvert Hall College High School and Loyola University of Maryland. He served on the boards of Archbishop Curley High School and St. Dominic's Catholic School & Parish. He retired in 1999 as VP of Premium Finance at Agency Services, Inc. after 20 years of service. He was a current member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church and a lifelong member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Hamilton. He enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with family.
Alfred is survived by his wife Jane Bittner who he married on May 31, 1952; sons, Bob Bittner of Wilmington, DE, Paul Bittner of Long Beach, CA, Jim Bittner of Bel Air; daughters, Kathy Nosek of Bel Air, Patty Bittner of Rochester, NH and Mary Ellen Murray of Bel Air; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; he was one of 12 children and survived by two sisters, Patricia Bittner Barnaba and Margaret Bittner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either Archbishop Curley High School or Institute of Notre Dame.
