Alexander Theodore Caldwell, age 58, of Abingdon, MD, passed away on June 23, 2013 at Gilchrist Hospice in Towson, MD. Born in Scranton, PA, he is the son of Lorraine Lucille Lubreski Caldwell and the late Arthur John Caldwell. He was raised in Havertown, PA, and worked in plumbing sales. He enjoyed boating and gardening, and was active in A Course in Miracles.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Caldwell is survived by his son, Michael Caldwell and fiancee', Payge Stanley, of Wilmington, NC; sister, Judy Rinaldi and husband, Steve, of Havertown, PA; nephew, Bill; and nieces, Lori and Kate. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brothers, Michael A. and William H. Caldwell.
Family and friends are invited for a celebration of Alexander's life at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Abingdon, MD on Thursday, June 27, 2013 from 10-11 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery in Drexel Hill, PA on Friday, June 28 at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care, 11311 McCormick Road, Suite 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031, in memory of Alexander Caldwell. Donations may also be made at Gilchristhospice.org/donation in memory of Alexander Caldwell. All donations given should be made towards a garden wall plaque.
