Alberto Licari

Alberto Licari, 91, of Edgewood, MD passed away on August 27, 2015 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Contrada Birgi Nivaloro, Sicily, he was the son of the late Gaetano and Giovanni Laudicina Licari. He came to the United States in 1958 and in 1965, opened Alberto's Unisex Hair Designers in Highlandtown. An award winning hairstylist, he took care of many local prominent sports and political figures during his career before his retirement in 1997. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Mr. Licari is survived by his wife of 59 years, Josephine Licari; son, Guy Licari of Florida; daughter, Joanne Pinna and husband, Salvatore Enzo Pinna, of Churchville; sister, Anna Licari of California; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and nephew, Filippo Licari.
