Albert W. Price

ALBERT W. PRICE, SR., of Joppa died August 10, 2004. He was 84. Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Albert and Amelia Kropa Price. He resided in Maryland for over 60 years. He received his early education from Immanuel Lutheran School and later graduated from Johnson Technical School of Scranton. He served in the U.S. Navy during WW II first in the South Pacific on the U.S.S. J. William Ditter, then on the U.S.S. Vestal, and finally on the U.S.S. North Carolina. He retired in July 1986 from Martin Marietta in Middle River, Maryland as a tool and die maker in the carpentry shop. Family members and friends know he loved to garden, tinker in home projects and engage in automotive repair. Mr. Price was a member of Lamb of God Lutheran Church, White Marsh, and more recently Saint Matthew Lutheran Church of Be Air. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

Mr. Price is survived by six children, Mrs. Mariann A. Kieffer of Kingsville; Mrs. Ruth E. Kreitz of Parkton; Albert W. Price, Jr. of Bel Air; Mrs. Barbara D. Mutolo of Jessup; Dale R. Price of Fallston; Mrs. Sylvia J. Reanrungroch of Bangkok, Thailand; a sister, Mrs. Dolores Griwatz of Tampa, Florida; two brothers, Elmer W. Price of Johnson City, New York; Ralph L. Price of Naples, Florida; 13 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Edward T. Price.
