Albert P. Jersey Jr., age 93, of Aberdeen, MD passed away on April 6, 2012 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Harford Furnace, MD, he was the son of the late Albert P. Jersey Sr. and Theresa Catherine Supik Jersey. A lifelong resident of Harford County, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving our country during WWII. He worked in civil service for 30 years as a Water Plant Operator and 10 years for Washington Homes Builder. He was a lifelong member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus-Morris J. Wolfe Council. A farmer all of his life, he was a fan of the Orioles and Ravens and was always involved with his family.
Mr. Jersey is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ella Frances Jersey of Aberdeen, MD; sons, Stephen Jersey and wife, JoAnne, of Eldersburg, MD and James Jersey and wife, Seanne, of Sterling, MA; daughter, Susan Monticello and husband, Michael, of Forest Hill, MD; sisters, Theresa Williams of Edgewater, MD, Anne Kurtz of Bel Air, MD and Elizabeth Reynolds of Schoolcraft, MI; and eight grandchildren, Joshua, Jordyn, Albert, Daniel and Gabriel Jersey, Andrew, Adam and Leah Monticello; and great-grandson, Dawson Jersey-Puga. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Thomas Jersey and sister, Catherine Hess.
Pallbearers will be Mel Piotrowski, Robert Roddy, Michael Georgulas, Lee Eder, Ed Petrovic and Bill Orlinsky. Honorary pallbearers will be George Hemelt, Jack Kriener and John Nolan.
