Albert Haines Bair

Albert Haines Bair, age 83, of Edgewood, MD passed away on December 20, 2015 at his home. Born in Gunpowder, MD, he is the son of the late Aldebert Leroy and Blanche Elizabeth (Harris) Bair and husband of the late Shirley Mae (Beck) Bair. A Harford County resident all his life, he was a trackman for the railroad where he worked from the age of 16 to 62, retiring from Amtrak. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking and helped build equipment racks on the new fire engines at Abingdon Fire Company. He helped at Edgewood Rec Baseball when his sons and grandsons were small and continued to enjoy attending their events. He enjoyed flea markets and being on the Bush River and was a regular every morning with his buddies at the Edgewood 7-11.

Mr. Bair is survived by sons, Albert "Cubby" H. Bair Jr. and James Aldie Bair, both of Edgewood and Michael Jay Bair of Pylesville; sister, Lana Craig of West Virginia; grandchildren, Albert "Digger" H. Bair III, Korey James Bair and Maura Elizabeth Bair; and great grandson, Oliver Matthew Bair. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, Randy Bair, brothers, John T. and William Bair and grandson, Michael Jay Bair.
