ALBERT “BUD” ARMSTRONG PRESTON, age 77, of Forest Hill, died at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on June 30, 2004. Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Albert Ferguson and Miriam Armstrong Preston. He was retired from Edgewood Arsenal where he was a chemical engineer. He served in the Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He was a graduate and alumni of Penn State University having earned a degree in Chemistry. He was a member of Grandview Christian Church, Fallston, where he sang in the choir and played the trumpet. He enjoyed playing the trumpet since he was a child and was a member of the Aberdeen Fire Company Band and the Kingsville Band. He lived in West Virginia from 1989 to 2000.
Mr. Preston is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Jane Stover Preston; a son, Andrew Stover Preston of Aiken, South Carolina; two daughters, Janey Nell Hoffman of Forest Hill and Natalie Carol Cassell of Virginia Beach, Virginia; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
