ADDIE MAYE SEGROVES, age 86, of Bel Air, died in Upper Chesapeake Medical Center on April 15, 2003. Born in Abbeyville, Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Goggin Bachelor and the late Hazel May Klingensmith Bachelor, and the wife of over 50 years of the late John Thomas Segroves, known as JT Segroves. She taught in the English Department for 8 years at Dallas Christian College, Dallas, Texas and for 20 years she taught English at the Eastern Christian College, until her retirement in 1980. She had taught piano lessons since 1934 until her death. A member of Creswell Christian Church, she was the church pianist and choir director.
Mrs. Segroves is survived by one son, Jerece D. Segroves of Lake Mary, Florida; three daughters, Jaranell R. Fritts of New Manchester, West Virginia; Jonita D. Shoaff of Bel Air; Jerelyn A. Anderson of Staunton, Virginia; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jeanelda J. Segroves and a sister Minora Jane Lewis.
Pallbearers will be: Danny Fritts, Greg Segroves, Barry Segroves, Jason Montgomery, Chris Shoaff, and Richard Anderson.
