Ada Vella Boyd

Ada Vella Boyd, age 80, of Aberdeen, MD, passed away on December 22, 2013 at her home. Born in Raven, VA, she was the daughter of the late Harley Lee Jones and Sadie Jane Jackson Yates. A loving wife and mother, she was a member of Upper Room Gospel Tabernacle Church for 28 years. An avid reader, she liked working puzzles, especially crosswords and word search.

Mrs. Boyd is survived by her husband of 62 years, Jessie L. Boyd; son, James H. Boyd of Aberdeen; daughters, Denise S. Boyd-Tillman and husband, Mac, of Lost City, WV and Teresa A. Sadler and husband, Rodney, of Aberdeen; sister, Nadine Lawson of Millersville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, David L. Boyd and brothers, Howard and Hubert Jones.

Pallbearers will be Mac Tillman, Duane Strong, Rodney Sadler, Will Stone, Will Krempel and Scott Cuthbert. Honorary pallbearer will be John Belcher.
