A.C. Billings, a beloved resident of Joppa, Maryland, peacefully passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 89. Born in Springfield, North Carolina, A.C. was the cherished son of Everett and Annie Billings and the devoted husband of the late Norma (Reno) Billings. He spent most of his life in Harford County, where he made lasting impressions on those around him.
A.C. dedicated his career to plumbing, showcasing his expertise and passion for the trade. However, his true joys in life extended beyond his profession. He had a profound love for fishing. He also loved watching Nascar, and Drag racing; enjoyed riding motorcycles, and tinkering with any kind of engine or motor. A.C. was a veteran of the Army National Guard.
He enjoyed watching his children, and grandchildren play sports of all kinds and had a fondness for the local Orioles and Iron Birds baseball teams. He also had a knack for cooking and enjoyed preparing delicious meals for his loved ones.
His family held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. A.C. was known for his playful sense of humor, always ready with a joke or a clever quip. To his children, he was their shelter in the storm.
A.C. leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness. He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth "Libby" Billings, Brenda Flenner, and husband Karl, Linda Harrington and husband Davy, as well as his son, Everett F. Billings and wife Gail. He is also survived by his brothers, J.B., Thomas, and Bruce Billings, sister Rose Billings, and his adored grandchildren: Christopher Farley and wife Jessica, Tammy Surrett and husband Wayne, Shannon Hagy, Everett James Billings, Erik Flenner and wife Tara, and Adam Flenner; and 12 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, A.C. was preceded in death by three sisters, whose memories he held dear.
