A. Wayne Barrett

A. WAYNE BARRETT, age 60, of Abingdon, MD, died on September 17, 2007 at University of Maryland Shock Trauma, Baltimore, MD. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late William Jesse and Hazel Louise Edwards Barrett. He was the owner of Barrett Appliance in Baltimore, where he retired after 20 years, and worked as a bus driver for Oak Crest Retirement Community. A Ravens fan, he enjoyed camping, car racing and his dogs, Rosie and Tony. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Barrett is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary L. Zengal Barrett of Abingdon, MD; three daughters, Christina L. Davis and Michelle L. Lowman, both of Baltimore, MD, and Karen S. Conway of Abingdon, MD; three brothers, Gary L. Barrett of Baltimore, MD, David G. Barrett and William A. Barrett, both of Crossville, TN; two sisters, Carolyn M. Hilker of Abingdon, MD and Barbara A. Geiger of Crossville, TN; and eight grandchildren, Amanda N. Davis, Lauren Barrett, Tiffany M. Witkus, Alicia N. Witkus, Joseph R. Conway III, and Chantira L. Conway all of Baltimore, MD, Jessica M. Hubbard and Jasmine D. Conway, both of Abingdon, MD.
