A. Earl O'Quinn

A. Earl O'Quinn, age 79, of Joppa, MD, died on November 21, 2010 at Western Maryland Medical Center in Cumberland, MD. Born in Vicey, VA, he was the son of the late William Burke and Mamdie Ellen Owens O'Quinn, and wife of the late Alma Lois Hugg O'Quinn. He moved to Maryland in the early 1950's and had worked as a carpenter, all over Maryland, in his own home improvement business. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served our country during the Korean War. He enjoyed the outdoors, western movies, traveling, and his dogs. After his wife, Lois, died in 1995, he then moved to West Virginia.

Mr. O'Quinn is survived by his sons, Gregory O'Quinn of WV, Junior O'Quinn of Essex, MD, Jerry O'Quinn and wife, Charlotte M., of Joppa, MD, and James O'Quinn of Essex, MD; daughters, Carol O'Quinn and life partner, Kenneth Henderson, of Joppa, MD, Linda O'Quinn of SC, Jennifer O'Quinn Pohler and husband, Ron, of Joppa, MD, and Pamela Dodd of Parkville, MD; four grandchildren, Kenneth Bufford Henderson of Joppa, MD, Scott Winpigler of SC, Angela O'Quinn of AZ, and Michael Dodd of_HI; six great-grandchildren; and siblings, Ruby, Bertha, May, Henry, Patty, Albert, and James. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his son, Jimmy M. Dodd, and siblings, Bo, Trula Gay, Carmel, and Tom.
