Matthew Simmons

Matthew R. Simmons, age 51, of Elkridge, Maryland passed away on October 31, 2022, at Ascension St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.

Born on November 15, 1970, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Marc Simmons and the late Carolyn M. (Eby) Work.

Matthew was a graduate of Springfield High School in Springfield, PA. He was employed at Northrop Grumman in the IT Department. Matthew was a very accomplished self-taught guitarist. Matthew gave many people new life with his organ donations through the Living Legacy Foundation.

Matthew is survived by his father, Marc Simmons and stepmother, Nancy Simmons, and his sisters, Erin McClintock Smith and Hannah Work.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn M. Work, his brother, Shawn Simmons and his stepsister Jennifer Donnelly.
