2/M Ross F. Floyd, Ret.

2/M Ross F. Floyd, Ret., age 88, of Joppa, MD, passed away on February 16, 2014 at Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air, MD. Born in Richfield, NC, he was the son of the late Jesse Franklin and Annie Crumpton Floyd and husband, for 37 years, of the late Bettye Alexander Floyd. He had attended Maritime School in New York and was a 43 year veteran of the Merchant Marines and U.S. Coast Guard. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening and loved to eat.

2/M Floyd is survived by his sister, Mary Butler of Charlotte, NC. In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by three brothers.
