Traditional Funeral Service
This option includes transfer of remains from the place of death, preparation of the deceased including embalming, cosmetology, dressing, and hairdressing. Professional Services include an arrangement conference with the family where personal information is gathered for the filing of all required documents (such as the death certificate, newspaper notices, social security forms, flag applications, and insurance forms). During the conference, times are established for the visitation and service, as well as the supervision and facilities necessary for visitations and funeral ceremonies. Also included is the selection of merchandise including caskets and vaults. All transportation charges associated with the funeral service including transfer of remains to the funeral home, hearse for the day of the funeral service, flower vehicle for the transfer of flowers, transportation for the family, etc. are discussed.
We also offer a complete range of services for receiving of remains from outside our service area, as well as the transfer and shipping of remains to another location.
Cremation Services
We offer a range of cremation services.
1. Traditional Cremation Package
One Day Visitation and service next day.
Includes basic professional services of funeral directors and staff,
including the arrangement conference, embalming, cosmetology, dressing, arranging in the casket,
use of facility for one day visitation and service the next day at the funeral home or church,
vehicle and equipment to transfer remains to the funeral home, service/utility vehicle to file
death certificates, transportation to crematory, the cremation process and the return of cremated
remains to the funeral home.
2. One Day Visitation and Service Cremation Package
Visitation and service same day at funeral home with casket present.
Includes basic professional services of funeral directors and staff,
including the arrangement conference, embalming, cosmetology, dressing, arranging in the casket,
use of facility for same day visitation and service the next day at the funeral home or church,
vehicle and equipment to transfer remains to the funeral home, service/utility vehicle to file
death certificates, transportation to crematory, the cremation process and the return of cremated
remains to the funeral home.
3. Memorial Cremation Package
One hour visitation followed by memorial service without casket present.
Includes basic professional services of funeral directors and staff,
including the arrangement conference, vehicle and equipment to transfer remains
to the funeral home, care of remains with no embalming, receiving and identification
room, minimum transfer container, transportation to crematory, the cremation
process and the return of cremated remains to the funeral home, use of facilities,
staff and equipment for receiving of friends and memorial service (without
the body present).
4. Off-Site Memorial Cremation Package
Service and equipment are extended to assist in coordinating an off-site memorial service.
Includes services of the staff, including the arrangement conference, vehicle and
equipment to transfer remains to the funeral home, care of remains with no embalming, receiving and
identification room, transportation to crematory, the cremation process and return of cremated remains
to the funeral home. Our staff is included to assist with the various aspects of facilitating the
memorial service at an off-site location.

Video Tribute
As the saying goes, a picture is worth a thousand words. Because the professionals at McComas Funeral Home recognize that a picture is also worth a thousand precious memories, you may choose a beautiful Video Tribute presentation to your loved one, consisting of up to 50 pictures copied from your own collection of cherished photographs. Accompanied by music, your Video Tribute may memorialize the milestones, hobbies or accomplishments of your loved one. In addition to being played for all to see during visitation, your Video Tribute may be posted online on your Memory Tribute web page, where those who cannot attend may view it.
Through pictures and music, your Video Tribute allows you, your family and friends to relive both the ordinary and extraordinary moments you have shared - the moments you will keep in your heart long after your loved one is gone. Following the funeral, a copy of the Video Tribute on DVD is yours to keep and treasure for years to come.
