David Rothbard, age 53, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018, surrounded by his family at his home in Bel Air, MD. Born in Bridgeport, CT, he was the son of the late Jack and Ema Rothbard. He was president of the Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow, a non-profit organization he co-founded in 1985 to promote a positive alternative voice on issues of environment and development. He had a heart for ministry and impacted many through sustainable development projects in Africa, as well as teaching at New Life Community Church and Freestate Challenge Academy. He wore many hats and enjoyed traveling, cooking, coaching softball, watching sports, making people laugh, and spending time with his family.
David is survived by his wife, Kelly, and daughters, Emily, Ashley, and Lydia, as well as his niece Laura Chandler, nephew Seth Rothbard, and other extended loving family.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Sheryl Rothbard, and brother, Jeffrey Rothbard.
